So, this is my attempt to break into the blogging community. I’ll start with a little smalltalk to break the ice until I can find some more relevant and interesting things to post.

As you’ve probably noticed by the decor and the constant use of the word “Gaming” in the about page, this is that kind of blog. QuotedForTruth.net is primarily a Gaming blog, but I wish to set the record straight on a few matters on this note. I did not create this blog to try to impose my closed minded opinions regarding which console or which game is the best of them all – even if I do have my own thoughts on such matters. Regardless of how confident the name sounds, I am only human; I am prone to mistakes and anybody has every right to disagree with whatever I say. However, it is through discussing those disagreements that we will eventually learn something new.

I created QFT.net for these reasons alone; To share and discuss my ideas with others who share my interests, to develop and improve my skills in constructive writing in order to express my ideas well, critical writing for use in reviews, good fact gathering and opinion forming based on such facts, but most importantly of all, to build a portfolio of my writing in pursuit of a career in Videogame Journalism. For these reasons I welcome any criticisms and comments about my writing, ideas and even any thoughts I may express on a given subject. I can only improve my skills by seeing my faults and putting them right.

Another issue I wish to address is the content of this blog. The majority of the content will deal with my takes on topics or events related to my Gaming hobby, however I intend to vary things from time to time with occasional visits to the more traditional aspects of game journalism such as news reporting and product reviews, although I will still back up as many news posts as possible with my thoughts on the issue. I have no intention to be just another RSS feed for all the latest events in the Gaming industry – there are already plenty of other websites that do that job just fine. Like any self respecting human being, my life does not revolve around just Gaming. I will make the occasional post regarding other tech or gadget related topics, while still keeping it as relevant to Gamers’ interests as possible.

One final note; I realise this isn’t a LiveJournal. I will keep it that way, and as much of my personal life out of QFT.net as possible. That’s about it! Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy QuotedForTruth.net!
